The arrestee was taken into custody after Cottage Grove Police re- sponded to a report of a sexual assault which had occurred approximately two days earlier. A SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Ex- aminer) exam was com- pleted and probable cause was established for the ar- rest of the individual, who was taken into custody and lodged at the Lane County Jail. It was not made clear what the arrestee’s relation- ship is to the assisted living center. Middlefield Oaks was restricted by HIPAA law from commenting on the matter.
