Th is publication would not be possible without the input of the servicemen and women of the Cottage Grove area and their families. We sincerely hope readers enjoy the tales of military service presented in these pages, and further hope that these stories may inspire community mem- bers to seek out the veterans in our midst, to off er thanks and lend an ear to hear their amazing stories. Th is year’s parade will be Mon- day, Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the parade, be sure to stay for the fl ag raising ceremony and visit Dignity Row, a collection of organizations con- taining Veteran support, informa- tion, benefi ts, and resources. BPOE 20th annual Veteran’s Appreciation Dinner & USO Show Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 Th e Cottage Grove Elks Lodge #1904 proudly announces the 20th annual Veterans Appreciation Night and USO Show. A turkey dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6 p.m. Th is event is free to all veterans. Cost for non-veterans is $7 per person, or $6 and two nonperish- able food items. Food raised will go to our Christmas Food Baskets. Everyone is welcome. Th e wear- ing of uniforms and service hats is encouraged. Th e community is welcome to help the Elks honor our veterans.
