Box 35, Cottage Grove, OR 97424 The South Valley Farmers Mar- ket has moved indoors for the win- ter, occupying the Cottage Grove Armory for its fourth year run- ning. The winter market, which sets up every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. with the exception of Nov. 30, will run until Dec. 21. By Damien Sherwood dsherwood@cgsentinel.com Cottage Grove city work- ers began a weeks-long pro- cess of fl ushing the water distribution system Nov. 4, which will see fl ushes con- ducted on all the fi re hy- drants in the city. The process, which is ex- pected to be completed by Nov. 18, will methodically fl ush more than 400 fi re hy- drants. The fi rst week began at the city’s water reservoirs and moved downtown. The second and third weeks will fl ush hydrants working outward from the center of town. Flushing the pipes is rec- ommended at least once a year and the city is overdue by at least a couple years.
