The Mind Your Mind campaign was developed as a way to help encourage the people of Lane Coun- ty to treat their mental health with same attention to preventative care as one would with their physical preventative care. “Caring for our mental and emotional well-being for our bodies,” said Lane County Suicide Preven- tion Coordinator, Roger Brubaker. “Just like physical health conditions, most mental illnesses are both prevent- able and treatable which means that developing healthy skills today can have lifetime benefits.” In Lane County, roughly one in three people experi- ence some kind of mental health condition, but few feel that others are sup- portive to people in dis- tress. health condition, don’t hesitate to have a conver- sation about it with a med- ical provider, loved one or trusted friend that can help.
