Parks drove the ball up court and hit a lay-up to give North Douglas a one point advantage with just 10 seconds left in the game. On the ensuing inbound, Parks was called for a reach-in foul that sent Cole Staggs to the line. Staggs hit a pair of what turned out to be game-winning free throws. “We come down and you know we had set up for Cal, be- cause nobody’s stopping him, he’s just going to drive right to the hoop and I was like perfect, but they fouled him and still had a foul to give,” said Vancil.
