A suspect is in custody and beng charged with multiple offenses. Photo courtesy city of Creswell. By Caitlyn May cmay@cgsentinel.com At approximately 5 a.m. Sunday morning, the windows broke on city hall. According to Creswell City Administrator Michelle Am- berg, fi ve windows and a door were broken. Two windows on the north side, two on the north east and a door on the north east side of the building. "It was about $12,000 to $15,00 in damage," she said, citing the double-paned, special ordered windows. Creswell resident Don- ald Jackson Harvey, 28, was booked on charges of felony charge of criminal mischief and misdemeanor charges of crimi- nal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct around 7 a.m. on Sunday morning. The Lane County Sheriff's Offi ce--which contracts with the city of Creswell--released a statement, reading in part, "During the investigation, dep- uties found that several large windows on the perimeter of Creswell City Hall had been broken out, causing extensive damage. One window to a local real estate business across from City Hall was also broken out. The full cost of the damage is unknown at this time, but ex- ceeds $2,000. Creswell Public Works employees responded to secure the building and deputies found no other damage."
