Again this year, the Tri at the Grove will take place on one of the busiest days of the Cottage Grove calendar; July 26 also features the Downtown Chili Cook-off and Rock, Roll and Rumble car show. Scott Burgwin, manager of the Coast Fork Farm Stand adjacent to the park, said a Wednesday Farm- ers’ Market will feature the wares of local farmers there on Wednesdays this summer from 3-6 p.m. In addition, Travis Palmer, Executive Director of the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce, said the Chamber will be relocating the vendors for the concerts to the hill atop the Bohemia Park amphitheater. “There were quite a few com- plaints that the vendors weren’t connected very well with the audience,” Palmer said. “We’re going to put the vendors at the top of the hill facing the audi- ence, and they’ll be able to drive in from the parking lot to unload their vehicles. This should help the vendors have a more pleas- ant experience at the concerts.” Palmer said the Chamber has called on Mujahid Abdallah of Aprovecho to serve as manager of the vendors in the park. The Concerts in the Park series be- gins June 17 at 6:30 p.m. with the classic covers of Bradley Shepherd’s Perfect Flavor and continues until Sept. 9.
