Nate Otteiheiu of Klamath Falls slopped off here this week while on her way home from a visit in Portland, and is the guest of her mother, Mrs. A. h. Dauford did the preaching and Mrs. Dunford led the young people's meetings. About thirty new mem bers have been received. Dr. G. 0. Jams was called to Klamath Falls yesterday on a pro fessional visit. He started to drive over the mountain at about 4:30 last evening, and at 4 o'clotflc this morning Mis. Jarvis received a mes sage by phone from Klamath Falls stating that the doctor had not ar rived yet. As he had been gone about twelve hours,' ft Is feared he had a breakdown alon gthe way, While the road is not traveled to uny great extent at this time of year, It Is not thought that the doc tor would suffer a breakdown and be held up in an isolated place for any length of time. Mr. and Mrs. F. Q. McWilliams received the sad message this morn ing that their son, Elvidge McWil- liams, had died at 6:30 this morn ing at Newman, Calif. The body will be shipped here for burial. The schools expect to open there Tuesday, Dr. W. B. Hinson, pastor of tho East Side Baptist church of Port land, one of the most prominent clergymen of tho Pacific coast, will be in Modford this evening and preach in the Baptist church in that city. A number of members of that denomination expect to go down to hear this eminent divine. Word was racoived In Ashland to day that a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
