The Panama Cartel. Monkey Hill is the iiRine of the cutting from which ihe contractors of the Panama Ca:il have ob tained the greater portion of rock and earth for the construction of docks, etc., etc. Kennv's Bluff is another notable point on the lint? of the canal and is situated on the west of the bay. The Emperador cutting is one of the first points excavated for the canal aud now presents all the appear ance of a very busy little town, with its houses for workpeople, its stores, workshops, saloons, etc. Twelve immense excavators are at work in this section, aud here are stored rails, wagons and other necessaries.
