The Wide West, while making these quick trips, has been of great convenience to all persons travel ing on business or pleasure. Busi- ne33 men could leave Portland in the morning, stay an hour and a half at Astoria, and return to Portland the same day. Visitors to the sea coast could mako the trip between Port land and the different sea side resorts in from ten to twelve houra.
