FRED. W. SPARLING. Register. PLAIN TRUTHS The blood is the foundation of life, it circulates through every part of the -body, and unless it is pure and rich, good health b impossible. If disease has entered the system the only rare and quick way to drive it oat is to purify and enrich the blood. These simple facts ere well known, and the. highest medical authorities agree that nothing but iron will restore the blood to its natural condition; and also that all the iron preparations hitherto made blacken the teeth, cause head ache, and are otherwise injurious. Brown's Iron Bitters will thor oughly and quickly assimilate with the blood, purifying-and strengthen ing it, and. thus drive disease from any part of the system, and it will not blacken the teeth; cause head ache or constipation, and is posi tively not injurious. Saved his Child. Eutaw St., Baltimore. ltd. Feb. V2, 1BS0. Gents: Upon the recommenda tion of a. friend I tried Brown's - Ikon Bitters as a tonic and re storative for my daughter, whom I was thoroughly convinced was waiting away with Consumption. Hiring lost three daughters by the terrible disease, under. the care of em i neat physicians, I was loth to believe that anything could arrest the progress of the. disease, but, to my great surprise, before my daughv ter had taken one bottle of B iiowiri Iro Brrrxss, she began to mend and now is quite restored to former health. A fifth daughter began to show signs of Consumption, and when the physician was consulted he quickly said "Tonics werere- Suired :" and when informed that le elder sister was talcing Brown's Iron Bitters, responded "that is a good tonic, take It." Enquire of BOZORTH JOHNS, What Voices Indicate. There are light, quick surface voices that seem involuntarily to utter the slang "I don't want to tie to." This man's word may as sure you of his strength of pur pose and reliability; his tone con tradicts his speech. 1 hen tllCrO IS the lOW, Htl On!r, J i .1 j deep voice, where the words seem ground as if the man owed human ity a grudge and meant to pay it some day. The man's opponents may well tremble, and his friends may trust his strength of purpose and ability to act. There is the course, boislerous, dictatorial tone, invariably adopted by vulgar persons who have not cultivation sufiicient to understand their own insignificance. There is the incredulous voice that is full of a covert sneer or a i;You-can't-dupe-me-sir' air. . There is the whining, beseech ing voico that says "sycophant' as plainly as if it uttered the word. It cajoles and flatters you, its words say, "I love you, I admire you; you are everything that j-ou should be." There is the tender, musical, compassionate voice, that some times goes with sharp features (as they indicate merely intensity of feeling) and sometimes blunt fea tures, but always with genuine benevolence. If you are full of allection and pretense, your voice proclaims it. If you are full of honesty, strength and purpose, your voice proclaims it. If you are coldj calm, firm and I consistent, or foolish, fickle andj deceptive, your voice will either case be euuallv truth-tell- You cannot change your voice from a natural tone" without its being known you are doing so. J. P. Logan of St. Paul makes an interesting proposition through the Chicago Timet: "I will pay 61,000 reward to any mob who will lynch a white man for murder ing a negro in the south, or for outraging a negro woman in the south. The daily lynching of negroes in the south is like the handle of a jug all on one side and just to vary the monotony, and for a refreshing change, I will send the above amount to any en terprising southern mob who will change the programe for once, and give one of their white murderers a piece of rope. I would suggest that the county sheriff where the mob operates, should be elected captain of tho mob, and authorized to draw on me for $1,000.
