We arc We are in receipt of a book entitled "Pen Pictures of Represen tative Men in Oregon," being a col lection of biographical sketches. It is writ ten by Messrs. Hodgkin and Galvin. The book is embellished by photographs of the stato officers and others. The book gives a good deal of information that could be procur able in no othei way, and is of merit in this ro9peet. It is, on the whole, well written, and with the exception of a slight tendency to "blarnev" is a i creditable production.
