IFor some time past it has been known that there was a baad of burglars and sneak thieves operat ing in this city. On three nights in succession residences were broken into and valuable goods, money, etc., taken J. D. Belt, Dr. Jcssup, and J. C. Brown being the occupants of the houses burg larized. The matter was kept quiet and Marshal Minto set to work to discover the perpetrators. He -was not long in making up his mind .as to who the guilty ones weni, but by this time they had left the city.
