She has been with the newspaper for seven years, working her way through the editorial department from intern to assistant editor. She is proud and excited about her newest role at the Siuslaw News. As editor, Chantelle has her hands in every aspect t of f creating the ti th twice-weekly newspaper. She writes stories, takes pictures, posts online and designs the layout of the newspaper, as well as assigning stories, copyediting content and working with the news team. Her department also works closely with the Siuslaw News marketing team. Chantelle is involved in the community through her role on the board of Kiwanis Club of Florence; by helping with local theater productions; and spending time with her friends and family. In her free time, she likes to read, write and make art, and you can often catch her playing D&D with friends. Corey has been practicing massage and craniosacral therapy since 2015. After nearly 13 years in the greater Seattle area, her and her husband moved to Florence in 2019 to be closer to family. She enjoys being able to help people heal from injuries, both old and new. She works in the advertising department as a Multi Media Sales Consultant. She enjoys getting to know her clients and helping them with their advertising needs. ere she grew up and graduated She was born in Springfi eld, Oregon, where from Thurston High. She married Dave in 1979 and moved to Florence. Jeanna and Dave have two sons, Bryce and Trent. Bryce and wife Carly live on the family timber farm outside of Springfi eld. Trent and wife Jenna live and work here in Florence. In 2019 Jeanna’s Mother Jean moved to Florence. The family enjoys having her close by as well. Dave manages and works the family farm as well as works in construc- tion. His current project is building them a tiny house at the farm where they one day hope to retire. Jeanna envisions fi elds full of mini donkeys and dachshunds running everywhere! I was born and raised Florentonian girl! I graduated from Siuslaw High School in 1993. My Grover Family has roots in the Ada area that go way back. My Stinger side moved to the Florence area in the late 40’s. I married my husband Justin in 2010. He’s now a Frozen Foods Manager at Safeway. My oldest daughter Shakina was a 2020 Senior Rhody Court Princess and Siuslaw High Graduate. She now lives and works in Springfi eld and spends most of her time with her wonderful boyfriend Joshua. Our son McCainley plays soccer, our youngest Kiki loves her gymnastics and our fur-boy (dog) Freddy is just being his loving self. I have worked at Siuslaw News twice. The fi rst time was from 2010-2016 and currently from 2018 to present. I am now the Offi ce Manager. I still love working here with our great staff. They’re like a second family to me. He got his start in journalism writing for the local history and photography newspaper The Arch and hopes to one day be considered an expert on local history. Zac graduated from Siuslaw High. He’s lucky to have a smart and beautiful partner, Sarah, and four amazing children Owen 13, Mollie 11, Fox 9 and COMING OCT 2021 Alder Rhody Burtt. During his spare time, he enjoys living and dying by the ups and downs of the Portland Trailblazer and New York Mets.
