Get $50 for vaccination at drive-thru clinic today A free drive through vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Siuslaw Middle School, 2525 Oak St. in Florence. Walk-up vaccinations will also be available. Insurance is not needed. The clinic will be offering the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and older, and the John- son & Johnson vaccine for ages 18 and older. Lane County Public Health is offering a $50 Visa card to anyone over the age of 12 receiving the vaccination at this clinic; this is a limited time incen- tive while supplies last. The $50 will be issued in the form of a Visa card at the time of vaccination that can be used anywhere that ac- cepts Visa. Participants will receive $50 per dose (1 card for the first dose, 1 card for the second dose). Appointments are not required to receive a vac- cination, but, if desired, an appointment can be scheduled at www.Lane- C ounty.org/VaxClinics. COVID-19 vaccinations are free and available re- gardless of immigration status. For questions or con- cerns about the vaccine, contact Lane County’s COVID call center at 541- 682-1380. This clinic at the coast is a collaboration with Lane County Public Health and The ARC of Lane County. The clinic is free and open to all people living in the central coast area. For Siuslaw residents who can’t make it to a clin- ic or pharmacy offering this no cost vaccine, Lane County Public Health can also help with transpor- tation or arrange for in- home vaccinations by call- ing 541-682-1380.
