Watershed Council plans annual meeting The community is in- vited to the Siuslaw Wa- tershed Council’s Virtual Watershed Community Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. During the meeting, people will hear a presen- tation on the innovative and award-winning Five- mile-Bell Restoration Proj- ect, given by Paul Burns (USFS) and Kyle Terry (SWC), who have many stories and observations to share from a decade of work on this recently com- pleted project. People will also be able to connect with their neighbors; hear about the SWC’s diversity, equity and inclusion work; partici- pate in the SWC’s Board of Directors elections; and participate in the confir- mation of the SWC’s Lead- ership Body Members. The council will be ac- cepting nominations for Leadership Body and Board of Directors posi- tions up to and during the meeting, and all members of the council are eligible to vote. The Siuslaw Watershed Council staff and vol- unteers hope to increase interest in joining the council’s membership, leadership body, and board of directors.
