12A | SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2019 | SIUSLAW NEWS RAIN presents ‘Life Lessons of an Entrepreneur’ Oregon Regional Accel- erator and Innovation Net- work (RAIN) invites the Florence community to at- tend “Life Lessons of an En- trepreneur: A Fireside chat with Marianne Brisbane” on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The invite will be at The Bodega, 180 Laurel St., Brisbane’s new wine parlor. Join RAIN for a lovely evening of wine and cheese as attendees listen to the entrepreneurial story of long-time Florence patron, Brisbane. Founder of many (at least 5) of the iconic shops and restaurants in Florence, Brisbane recently opened The Bodega. “Come enjoy her new space, hear about her life journey, learn about her thoughts on the Florence entrepreneurial ecosys- tem and take home her top three tips for running a successful business,” said RAIN Venture Catalyst Ariel Ruben. “This is an evening you don’t want to miss.” People can sign up for the event at www.meet- up.com/St ar tup-Flor- ence-Oregon-Coast/ events/264629513/. Ruben is the dedicated RAIN venture catalyst for Florence and Coburg. In this role, she supports re- gional entrepreneurs by connecting them to strate- gic resources for launching and scaling high-growth business ventures, including mentor connections, edu- cational and training pro- grams, and access to capital. These free resources are made possible by partner- ships with The City of Flor- ence, Lane County and the Ford Family Foundation.
