SIUSLAW NEWS | WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2019 | 9A SEAcoast brings Olé! May 22 Come let your mind be blown by one of the most original music comedy shows you will ever see — ‘Olé!’ World Music and Com- edy. Featuring amazing Flamenco guitar playing and musical virtu- osity of pop, swing, blues and in- ternational classics, this show will be full of spectacular fun! ‘Olé!’ World Music and Com- edy performs on Wednesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince. Come early to get to know this fun group during the pre-concert talk start- ing at 6:15 p.m.. Paul Morocco, Guillermo de Endaya and Marcial Heredia make up this merry trio of Lati- no guitar players. They present a fresh and exciting blend of Span- ish comedy, Flamenco, Guitarras and, of course, their signature ping pong. These three Latin Machos, full of fire, fight for their pride while playing, spinning and throwing their Spanish guitars. They take the au- dience on a journey ending in a Grand Fiesta!! Paul Morocco developed ‘Ole!’ after cutting his performing teeth on the streets of New Orleans. There, he explored his love for entertaining the public, learning the timeless craft of connecting to the au- dience and developing his unique improvisational skills. The original ‘Ole!’ show be- gan at London’s Mime Festival in 1990, and debuted at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival in 1991, receiving not one, but two awards for the performance. In 1996, Paul teamed up with Guillermo De Endaya and Mar- cial Heredia. This version of the show plays to enraptured audi- ences to this day, and has become an international cult hit all over the World. “These three Locos are not only funny, but enormously musically talented as well. Their powerful performance combines frantic and zany slapstick that is almost surreal beyond madness” writes the UK’s The Daily Telegraph. SEAcoast Entertainment pres- nts ‘Ole!’ as part of its 2018-19 season. The group is an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) bringing incredible music and en- tertainment to the Central Coast for 38 years. Tickets are on sale now for $35 for adults and $10 for students. 0LUDFOH(DU+HDULQJ&HQWHUV DUHORRNLQJ IRUTXDOLILHGSHRSOHWRWHVWWKHLUODWHVWSURGXFW * 7KH0LUDFOH(DU 0LUDJH 5,6. )5((! +HUH¶VWKHFDWFK<RXPXVWKDYHGLIILFXOW\KHDULQJ DQGXQGHUVWDQGLQJLQEDFNJURXQGQRLVHDQG\RXU KHDULQJPXVWIDOOLQWKHUDQJHRIWKHKHDULQJDLG 3HRSOHWKDWDUHVHOHFWHGZLOOHYDOXDWH0LUDFOH (DU¶VODWHVWDGYDQFHGGLJLWDOKHDULQJVROXWLRQ² WKH0LUDFOH(DU2SHQ <RXZLOOEHDEOHWRZDONLQWRRXURIILFHDQGZDON RXWNQRZLQJKRZPXFKKHOSWKHUHLVIRU\RX &DQGLGDWHVZLOOEHDVNHGWRHYDOXDWHRXU LQVWUXPHQWVIRUGD\VULVNIUHH $WWKHHQGRI WKHGD\VLI\RXDUHVDWLVILHGZLWKWKH LPSURYHPHQWLQ\RXUKHDULQJDQGZLVKWRNHHS WKHLQVWUXPHQW\RXPD\GRVRDWWUHPHQGRXV VDYLQJV%XWWKLVLVRQO\IRUDOLPLWHGWLPH 6FKHGXOH\RXU$SSRLQWPHQW1RZ'RQ¶WZDLW XQWLO LW VWRODWH 7KDW¶V5LJKW1R&R3D\1R([DP)HH 1R$GMXVWPHQW)HH %&%6IHGHUDOLQVXUDQFHSD\VWKHWRWDOFRVWRI0LUDFOH(DU$XGLRWRQH3URDLGV 0RVWIHGHUDOJRYHUQPHQWHPSOR\HHVDQGUHWLUHHVDUHHOLJLEOH<RXPD\HYHQEH FRYHUHGLI\RXKDYHRWKHUQRQIHGHUDOLQVXUDQFHFRYHUDJH6SHFLDOIDFWRU\ SULFLQJLVDYDLODEOHIRUQRQTXDOLILHUV6HHVWRUHIRUGHWDLOV DFFXUDWHFRYHUDJH $QRWKHU*UHDW:D\WR6DYH 0DNH\RXUDSSRLQWPHQWWRGD\ %8<*(7 2)) 1RZ%X\ 2QH*HW 2QH )UHH This year the FRAA Rhody Days Arts Festival will be held Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sun- day, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Presented by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance, this event is the perfect place to experience, meet and shop the unique works of art and fine craftsmanship of our local and coastal artists and craftsmen: Brad & Ginny Kliever (Foggy Bay Studios) — kitch- en utensils as well as felted scarfs, bags, etc. ; Guy Lundy — wire wraps of gemstones and rocktography; Garden Treasurers — pressed flow- er art and upcycled metal art sun catchers and wind chimes; Debi Ford — pen- dants of coastal treasures like stones, agates and shells; Rich Huckins — creates everything in wood; Jeanne Ternahan — creates everything in fabric including doll clothes; Ralph & Vicki Martin — Scroll saw wood art; Nancy Gant (Simply Lampwork) — lit- tle works of art in lampwork beads; Marie Hinze — quilts and wall hangings of all sizes; Sandra Kay Hayes — fill your kitchen with new linens & more; Pat Tellez — beautiful beadwork of flowers, etc.; Ed Kogut (Red Eagle Gems) — custom gold & silver jewelry; Danielle & Jennifer Goldblatt — photography and wreaths; Kris De Noyer — hand sculp- tures ceramic critters; Clau- dia Brown — the latest de- signs in sea glass, wirework and beads.
