2A | WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2018 | SIUSLAW NEWS T HE R ECORD U R Worth It Hair Salon OBITUARIES HUBBARD—Harold Neal Hubbard Jr., 74, of Florence, passed away sud- denly Sept. 16, 2018, while on a trip home from east- ern Ore- gon. Harold He was Hubbard born in Po r t l a n d , Ore., April 30, 1945, to Harold and Alice Hubbard, the oldest of three children, which included his little brother Richard Hubbard and little sister Clara Warren. Neal traveled extensively but spent most of his life in or around the Florence area. He was a talented country music singer and played many years with his little brother playing guitar. Neal was was a kind, honest man who spent many nights in his auto shop fixing cars for free for people who needed a little help. He leaves behind many sons and daughters, both biologic and adopted, who will forever love and appreciate all that he was to all of them. He will be waiting in Heaven for his wife of 51 years, Leila Marie Hubbard, who was by his side until his final day. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 82871 Parker Lane in Dexter, Ore., for all those wishing to pay their respects. BARTLETT—Allen Jay Bartlett was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Sno- qualm- ie Falls, Wa s h . , and passed away after living in Florence for over 45 Allen Bartlett years. Allen at- tended Multnomah School of the Bible and was a part-time pastor for many years, living his life honoring his Lord and Savior. He is best known as a contractor in Florence from 1972 until retiring in his 80s. Allen was married for 69 years to his wife Dorothy, who passed away three months ago. He will be greatly missed by his eight children, 31 grandchil- dren and 53 great-grandchil- dren. Allen passed away at home on his beloved Greenhaven Farm up the North Fork with many of his children by his side. He enjoyed working in his orchard, logging and cutting firewood right up to the end. A private family service is planned. Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
