Florence Habitat For Humanity re- cently celebrated with Megan Egan and her family as her new home was dedi- cated. On Oct. 19, Mike Harklerode, FHFH Board president, welcomed Egan’s fam- ily and friends, Habitat volunteers, do- nors and neighbors to the celebration. The Egan home on Nopal Street has been “refreshed” as the 30th Habitat residence in Florence after the previous homeowner relocated out of state. Following a thorough selection pro- cess in summer, Egan completed “sweat equity” hours by working with Habitat volun-teers in painting, repairing and completing landscaping projects. Her two sons and her grandmother will share the home.
