While the Viks had found themselves trailing 49-0 just a few minutes into the second half in their season opener, against Philomath it was still a 0-0 tie until The Warriors went on a three-touchdown series just before the half — with two of those scores coming on a fumble recovery and interception. Though Philomath was able to extend its lead by two more touchdowns early in the third period, the Vikings were See VIKS 3B Rannow, Johnson lead Siuslaw at Saxon Invitational By Ned Hickson T IDE T ABLE Entrance Siuslaw River High Tide Low Tide Sept. 12 2:20am / 7.4 2:43pm / 7.7 8:33am / 0.1 9:06pm / 0.0 Sept. 13 3:11am / 6.8 3:23pm / 7.5 9:14am /0.9 9:55pm / 0.1 Sept. 14 4:05am / 6.2 4:04pm / 7.2 9:57am / 1.6 10:48pm / 0.4 Sept. 15 5:04am / 5.7 4:49pm / 6.8 10:43am / 2.3 11:46pm / 0.7 Sept. 16 6:12am / 5.3 5:42pm/ 6.4 11:39am / 3.0 Sept. 17 7:29am / 5.1 6:43pm / 6.1 12:51am / 0.9 12:47pm / 3.4 Siuslaw News Siuslaw’s cross country team had solid individual performances at its first com- petition of the season, competing against more than 100 runners in both the boys and girls divisions of the Saxon Invite in Salem on Saturday.
