Th is exhibit is titled Where Art Th ou?, and will be judged by national award-win- ning artist, Cat Deuter. Ribbons will be awarded at the November 5th reception for fi rst, second, and third place, as well as for honorable mention. In addition, the BEST IN SHOW and PEOPLE’S CHOICE award win- ners will receive a one month featured exhibit at Backstreet Gallery. Another exciting part of the exhibit will be two receptions, with Backstreet Gallery off ering entertainment and refreshments for all visitors! Th e fi rst will be the Where Art Th ou? Opening Reception on November 3, at the FEC from 5 – 7 p.m. Guitarist Den- ny Weaver will entertain visitors while they enjoy the art, wine, and appetizers. Th is will also be a great opportunity to network with other artists. Th e December reception will have a holi- day theme. It will be held on December 15, 5 – 7, and will be Backstreet Galleries gift to the community, providing a wonderful opportunity for families to share the holiday spirit. Th ere will be Christmas music provid- ed by CROW, appetizers, and desserts, and in addition to artwork, there will also be prints and cards available to purchase for that last minute Christmas shopping, We are looking forward to seeing you at the “Where Art Th ou?” Community Art Show, displayed in the Galleries at the FEC, 715 Quince St., Florence. Evening of ‘Wallfl owers and Wine’ “ Wallfl owers and Wine” returns to the FEC on November 25th at 6:30 p.m. Artist John Leasure will lead the class in painting the original composition, “To Rise Above.” A wine beverage or non-alcoholic beverage is provided, along with complimentary appe- tizers. Th e ceremony will conclude with the lighting of the holiday tree and the menorah. Th ere is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served aft er the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to share in re- membrance and compassion for those who have passed. Stars can be purchased in memory of a loved one and will be hung on either the holiday tree or placed on the Menorah table.
