He has three daughters and works in Drug and Alcohol prevention for the Confederated Tribes. He is the ATV Coordinator and Captain at station one. He enjoys riding his Harley, canoeing, fishing, camping, and working with the youth in our community. He has been an active firefighter since 1994. In addition to being an accomplished artist, he enjoys flying model helicopters. He has been in the fire service since 1991. He is a carpenter by trade who enjoys golf, fishing, music and playing the drums. Captain Mike Barrett Mike and his family moved to Florence in 1988. He first joined the department in 1997. He sells and services garage doors. Mike and his wife have three daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. They currently are afghan hound rescue volunteers for Oregon, rehabilitating and re-homing afghans. Mike also enjoys treasure hunting in his spare time. My hobbies are camping, fishing, and hunting. My interests are my family, daughters Ali and Nicky, and the girl of my dreams, Laura. Captain Chris Holden 997-6926 Shannon joined the department in 2009 and responds from our Clear Lake Station. Shannon Curry 2016 Firefighter of the year Kyle started in 2010 and responds from Station 1. He works as a Wildland FFT1 at North Pacific Forestry, Inc. His interests include fire fighting, football, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and all other outdoor activities. You’ll find her working and volunteering in the community in several different areas, also teaching Fire & Life Safety, Fire Prevention, Child Safety Seat Tech. and CERT Trainer. He retired from the US Forest Service in 2005 and now spends his days on the Canary Farm. He enjoys his 7 grandchildren, gardening, collecting old stuff, metal detecting, fishing, crabbing and clamming, mushrooming and just “Communing with Nature” in general. Dave and Sharon plan on being part of the Florence Community for many years to come.
