SOS representative Dianna Huenergardt will talk about the LIHEAP program, which provides assistance to persons in need of subsidies for their electric bills. She will detail the funding, qualifications to D irector Meggan Haslett-Davidson, Pastor Lori Blake from New Life Lutheran Church and four preschool students show the 4-Star Certificate Alice Brauer Christian Preschool achieved. Oregon’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) gave this 4-Star quality rating to ABC, the first preschool in Florence to reach this achievement. In recent months, ABC Preschool has chosen to participate in the QRIS, a program designed to raise the quality and consistency of child- care and early learning programs across the state. Experts in the field of early childhood care and education evaluated ABC’s materials using research-based standards that address children’s learning and development, health and safety, personnel qualifica- tions, family partnerships, and admin- istration and business practices. “Thanks for continuing to support us as we focus on growth and improve- ment of our program,” said Haslett- Davidson. “Our #1 priority, as always, is to ensure we are bringing our best to your children every day.” Alice Brauer Christian Preschool, 2100 Spruce St., is a licensed childcare cen- ter.
