COCARC will be joining thou- sands of amateur radio opera- tors worldwide to demonstrate their effectiveness and profi- ciency in providing critical communications after a cata- strophic event such as an earth- quake or tsunami. The event begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, and will operate continuously for 24 hours until Sunday, June 25, at 11 a.m. Conducting operations from Sutton Campground, Group Area C, COCARC members will establish several amateur radio stations on emergency power, capable of communicat- ing all over the Pacific Northwest and the west coast; indeed, if conditions are favor- able, all over the world.
