SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2017 Tatum receives Kaiser Permanente scholarship Senior Destinie Tatum of Siuslaw High School has been awarded a health education scholarship from Kaiser Permanente. The nonprofit announced that the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Career Scholarship program has awarded $39,000 to Lane County students planning careers in health-related fields. The local awards are part of 3 A Royal Court appearance awards in Oregon and Washington totaling more than $535,000 for 166 students. The awards recognize the positive relationship between education and health, as well as the value to the community of helping diverse and eco- nomically disadvantaged stu- dents pursue careers in health. Tatum is eligible for renew- al of the scholarship in future years.
