Tatum receives Kaiser
Permanente scholarship
Senior Destinie Tatum of
Siuslaw High School has been
awarded a health education
scholarship from Kaiser
Permanente.
The nonprofit announced
that the Kaiser Permanente
Health
Care
Career
Scholarship program has
awarded $39,000 to Lane
County students planning
careers in health-related fields.
The local awards are part of
3 A
Royal Court appearance
awards in Oregon and
Washington totaling more than
$535,000 for 166 students.
The awards recognize the
positive relationship between
education and health, as well
as the value to the community
of helping diverse and eco-
nomically disadvantaged stu-
dents pursue careers in health.
Tatum is eligible for renew-
al of the scholarship in future
years.

Ulman.
Ulman was a longtime vol-
unteer with the foundation who
served on its board of directors
for nine years. Ulman has been
actively involved with its
scholarship program since
1997.
The Ulman Scholarship is
designed to assist students
enrolled at LCC in its nursing
or pre-nursing curriculum.
