Spirituali-Tea to learn about Noah, Great Flood CRUISE On Monday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m., everyone is invited to join a group of friends from varied spiritual paths to dis- cuss Noah. The Genesis flood in the Bible — the narrative, one of many flood myths found in human cultures, indicates that God intended to return the Earth to its pre-Creation state of watery chaos by flooding the earth because of humani- ty's misdeeds and then remake it using the microcosm of Noah's ark. The narrative discusses the evil of mankind that moved God to destroy the world by the way of the flood, the preparation of the ark for cer- tain animals, Noah, his family and God's guarantee for the continued existence of life under the promise that he would never send another flood. People are invited to bring information they may have about this early time in the Jewish tradition. The gathering will end at 8 p.m. with prayers for the requests left in the Prayer Pole in the garden of the Florence Playhouse and those shared by the group.
