M . BOYS : 3 P . M . It was a busy week for the Sailors, who were on the road Tuesday and Thursday before returning to their own hard- wood last night. For the girls Tuesday night, it was one of their highest-scoring games of the season. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to edge out the Lady Lakers, who held on for a 45-31 win. In the boys’ game, the Sailors had a tougher time against the high-pressure Lakers’ offense, which took an early lead en route to a lopsided 82-33 win. Thursday, both teams were back on the road, at Lowell, where the Lady Sailors fell 67-25, and the boys lost 69- 24. Last night’s game against Falls City was after press deadlines. • SHS WRESTLING AT S UTHERLIN 9 A . M . Jan. 24 • SHS B-BALL D OUGLAS GIRLS : 6 P . M . BOYS : 7:30 P . M . Siuslaw seniors Destinie Tatum and Brittany Long, each of whom routinely score in double figures, were held to less than 10 points each — Tatum with 7 and Long with 5. The Viks also got scoring from sen- iors Claire Waggoner and Abby Watkins with 4 points each, 3 points from senior Nikki Launius, and two points each from junior Carreina Greenburg and sophomore Alyssa Richards, who suffered an ankle injury in the game and will likely not return to the floor this season. Marshfield drained four 3-pointers in the final quarter to secure a 79-28 win.
