10 A SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ SATURDAY, JANUARY 21, 2017 FUUF to discuss near death experiences This Sunday, Jan. 22, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Florence Unitarian Universalist Fell- owship, the Rev. Ruth Miller will lead the worship service titled: “Heaven- Documented Near Death Experiences Are Opening Up A Whole New World.” From the movie “What Dreams May Come” to the book “90 Minutes in Heaven” to various television “docud- ramas,” American culture has become fascinated with the idea that, perhaps, there is something to look forward to after the body dies. Miller has studied the liter- ature of this phenomenon for several decades and offers some insights that help clarify understanding. The UU Fellowship is located at 87738 Highway 101 at Heceta Beach Road and is wheelchair accessible. Each service concludes with refreshments and dia- logue circle to explore the questions that come up during each service.
