Criminal mischief was reported in the 2200 block of Kingwood Street. Theft was reported in the 2200 block of 23rd street. Theft was reported in the 1700 block of Highway 126. Fraud was reported in the 800 block of 31st Way. Child endangerment was reported in the 1500 block of 10th street. Theft was reported in the 4700 block of Highway 101. Assault was reported in the 900 block of Highway 101. Dec. 13 Accident, with injury was reported at milepost 182 on Highway 101. Theft was reported in the 900 block of Highway 101. Theft of services was report- ed in the 900 block of Highway 101. Theft was reported in the 200 block of Highway 101. Dispute was reported in the 1600 block of 19th Street. Tresspass was reported in the 5600 block of Highway 101. Dec. 14 Theft of services was report- ed in the 2100 block of Spruce Street. Theft was reported in the 1000 block of Highway 101. Dec. 15 Tresspass was reported in the 1800 block of West Park Drive. Dispute was reported at the Darlingtonia Wayside. Theft was reported in the 1000 block of Quince street. Tresspass was reported in the 1500 block of Pine street. Accident, with unknown injury was reported on Heceta Beach Road. Dec. 16 Theft was reported in the 2000 block of Highway 101. The Florence Police Department has received grant funding to support additional DUII enforcement during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period, Dec. 15 through Jan. 1. These funds are made avail- able to the city from Oregon Impact, which administers DUII grant funding to law enforcement throughout Oregon and the U.S. High visibility enforcement, accomplished by increasing the number of officers on the streets aggressively seeking out impaired drivers, is designed to deter people from driving while intoxicated or otherwise impaired. BIRTHS OBITUARIES DILKES—Colleen Mills Dilkes, 87, a past resident of Florence, passed away M o n d a y, Nov. 28, 2016, at her home in Clinton To w n s h i p , Mich., sur- Colleen Dilkes rounded by her family and loved ones. Collen was born Nov. 10, 1929, in the New Llano Colony, Leesville La. While residing in Florence, Collen was a member of the Florence Civic Theater, worked with the Big Brother, Big Sister Program and was very much a part of city poli- tics. Colleen was a beautiful and caring wife and mother partic- ipating in numerous school Hit-and-run accident was reported in the 700 block of Highway 101. She is survived by her sister Eula Bishop Fish of Florence; her son Larry Knutson of Clinton Township Mich.; son Bob Mills of Florence; and daughter Marcee Mills Teeters of Eugene, Ore.; and numer- ous nieces, nephews, grand- children, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchil- dren. A celebration of her life will be held this coming summer in Florence. JACKSON—Alline M. Jackson, 91, of Florence, for- merly of Coos Bay, passed away Dec. 16, 2016. TERRY—Elijah Lane Terry, a boy weighing 7 lbs., 11 ozs., was born to Savannah Marie Driggers and William Counter Terry of Florence on Dec. 16, 2016, at 4:39 p.m., at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center.
