Police
Department has received grant
funding to support additional
DUII enforcement during the
Christmas and New Year’s
holiday period, Dec. 15
through Jan. 1.
These funds are made avail-
able to the city from Oregon
Impact, which administers
DUII grant funding to law
enforcement
throughout
Oregon and the U.S.
High visibility enforcement,
accomplished by increasing
the number of officers on the
streets aggressively seeking
out impaired drivers, is
designed to deter people from
driving while intoxicated or
otherwise impaired.

Collen was born Nov. 10,
1929, in the New Llano
Colony, Leesville La.
While residing in Florence,
Collen was a member of the
Florence
Civic Theater,
worked with the Big Brother,
Big Sister Program and was
very much a part of city poli-
tics.
Colleen was a beautiful and
caring wife and mother partic-
ipating in numerous school

extra DUII enforcement
activities throughout the years
with her three children.
She is survived by her sister
Eula Bishop Fish of Florence;
her son Larry Knutson of
Clinton Township Mich.; son
Bob Mills of Florence; and
daughter Marcee Mills Teeters
of Eugene, Ore.; and numer-
ous nieces, nephews, grand-
children, great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchil-
dren.
A celebration of her life will
be held this coming summer in
Florence.
