12 A SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2016 Nightingales to perform at Presbyterian Church After several years away from the Florence entertain- ment scene, the Florence Nightingales, a women's bar- bershop quartet, are back! The reenergized group includes three of the original members Christine May, Lori Robertson and Trina Smith and a new lead singer, Vonnie DePuente rounds out the quar- tet. The Nightingales will be on stage Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec.11, at 2 p.m. for the Community Chorus Christmas concerts. Both concerts will be at the Presbyterian Church on Hwy. 101 in Florence. The quartet is available to sing at other venues and plans to visit assisted living facilities this holiday season. Christmas Bazaar at Foursquare Church The Faith Fellowship of Foursquare Church will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presented by Women’s Ministry, the bazaar will have one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts, including driftwood wall art, burlap wall hangings, can- dle holders, holiday plates, tile coasters, Christmas decora- tions and more.
