Harvey was born in Franklin County, Mo., on July 13, 1948, to Elsie A. Luhring and Albert C. Paneitz. A f t e r serving in Harvey Paneitz the Marine Corps in Cambodia, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Marksmanship Badge, Harvey’s professional career revolved mostly around med- ical services administration and consulting, taking him to states all over the nation. He was also a very success- ful restaurateur for several years. In 2014, Harvey moved to Westlake, where he enjoyed gourmet meals, golfing and his favorite pastime, fishing. He most recently caught the 15-pound native coho shown in his photo. Harvey is survived by his children: Greg, Matthew, Joe, Jessica and Dalton, and their families; and his many close friends in Westlake who were like family to him. A celebration of Harvey’s life will be held privately amongst family and friends. Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
