Discover the pirates’ life in Last Resort Player’s production of “Pirates of Penzance,” playing Nov. 4 to 13 at Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St. Presented by Last Resort Players with special arrangement through Music Theater International, the story concerns Frederic who, having completed his 21st year, is released from his apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates. He meets Mabel, the daughter of Major-General Stanley, and the two young people fall instantly in love. However, Frederic learns he only has a birthday each leap year, and that he must serve the Pirates of Penzance for another 63 years. S eacoast Entertainment Association will kick off the holiday season Nov. 18 and 19 with Pink Martini, co-produced by SEAcoast and the Friends of the Florence Event Center.
