Arrest, with warrant, was reported on Highway 101 and Munsel Lake Road. Accident, with injury, was reported on milepost 8 of Highway 36. Arrest, with warrant, was reported in the 900 block of Greenwood Street. Theft was reported in the 4700 block of Highway 101. Trespass was reported in the 1000 block of Highway 101. Theft was reported in the 800 block of Highway 101. Arrest, with warrant, was reported in the 1300 block of Highway 101 and the 1400 block of Ninth Street. Dispute was reported in the 5900 block of East Glenada Road. Smoke showing was report- ed in the 90800 block of Southview Lane. Aug. 23 Smoke showing was report- ed in the 1500 block of 12th Street. Illegal camping, lodging was reported on Juniper Street. Hit-and-run accident was reported in the 4700 block of Highway 101. Arrest, with warrant, was reported in the 1700 block of Highway 101. Hit-and-run accident was reported in the 100 block of Highway 101. Theft was reported in the 800 block of Highway 101. Hit-and-run accident was reported in the 700 block of Highway 101. Child abuse was reported in the 04800 block of COURTS Oceana Drive. Accident, with unknown injury, was reported in the 5900 block of East Glenada Road. Suspicious item was report- ed in the 1600 block of 12th Street. Child abuse was reported on Highway 101. Accident, without injury, was reported in the 88600 block of Highway 101. Dispute was reported in the Glenada area. Aug. 24 Harassment was reported in the 900 block of Highway 101. Arrest, with warrant, was reported in the 900 block of Greenwood Street. Theft was reported in the 2200 block of Highway 101 and 1400 block of Nopal Street. Trespass was reported in the 1100 block of Oak Street. Accident, with unknown injury, was reported in the 3500 block of Oak Street. Florence Municipal Court Aug. 23 Joshua Michael Brown pleaded guilty of disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer. He was sentenced to 30 days in Florence City Jail. He must pay $300 in fines. Brad Michael Taylor pleaded guilty to initiating a false report and a misdemeanor for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He must pay $475 in fines. Ronald Dean Beason pleaded no contest to DUII and attempted possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to seven days in Florence City Jail and must report to treatment. He must pay $2,205 in fines and his driver’s license is suspended for one year. Christopher James Young pleaded no contest to assault and criminal mischief. He was sen- tenced to nine days in Florence City Jail and must report to Siuslaw Batterer’s Intervention Program. He must pay $1,125 in fines and not contact or be in or about the residence or place of employment of the victim. Lawrence Preston Brown pleaded guilty to disorderly con- duct. He must pay $425 in fines and not be on or about the Siuslaw River Bridge or other bridge of similar height except as an occu- pant of a moving car. Dianna Gates pleaded no con- test to theft. She must pay $295 in fines and not contact or be in or about the premises or place of employment of the victim. Colton Lease-Poillot pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for driv- ing with a suspended driver’s license. He must pay $1,125 in fines. Christian James Bradley plead- ed guilty to a misdemeanor for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He must pay $875 in fines. Alfred William Smith pleaded guilty to theft. He was sentenced to four days in Florence City Jail. He must pay $445 in fines and not contact or be in or about the prem- ises or place of employment of the victim. LAWSON—Lyric Lee Lawson, a girl weighing 7lbs., 2.5 ozs., was born to Shauni Laurese Ridings and Kyle Christopher Lawson of Florence on Aug. 24, 2016, at 7:50 p.m., at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center. Volunteer drivers needed for cancer patients The Friends of Florence, a free program that provides transportation to individuals who are undergoing radiation treatment in Eugene and Springfield, is in need of vol- unteer drivers. Drivers are needed Monday through Fridays, leaving PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center at 8 a.m., and returning around 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are usually asked to drive only one day a month. The only requirement is that drivers are less than 80 years old with a clean driving record.
