Florence Municipal Court
Aug. 23
Joshua Michael Brown pleaded
guilty of disorderly conduct and
interfering with a police officer.
He was sentenced to 30 days in
Florence City Jail. He must pay
$300 in fines.
Brad Michael Taylor pleaded
guilty to initiating a false report
and a misdemeanor for driving
with a suspended driver’s license.
He must pay $475 in fines.
Ronald Dean Beason pleaded
no contest to DUII and attempted
possession of methamphetamine.
He was sentenced to seven days in
Florence City Jail and must report
to treatment. He must pay $2,205
in fines and his driver’s license is
suspended for one year.
Christopher James Young
pleaded no contest to assault and
criminal mischief. He was sen-
tenced to nine days in Florence
City Jail and must report to
Siuslaw Batterer’s Intervention
Program. He must pay $1,125 in
fines and not contact or be in or
about the residence or place of
employment of the victim.
Lawrence Preston Brown
pleaded guilty to disorderly con-
duct. He must pay $425 in fines
and not be on or about the Siuslaw
River Bridge or other bridge of
similar height except as an occu-
pant of a moving car.
Dianna Gates pleaded no con-
test to theft. She must pay $295 in
fines and not contact or be in or
about the premises or place of
employment of the victim.
Colton Lease-Poillot pleaded
guilty to a misdemeanor for driv-
ing with a suspended driver’s
license. He must pay $1,125 in
fines.
Christian James Bradley plead-
ed guilty to a misdemeanor for
driving with a suspended driver’s
license. He must pay $875 in
fines.
Alfred William Smith pleaded
guilty to theft. He was sentenced
to four days in Florence City Jail.
He must pay $445 in fines and not
contact or be in or about the prem-
ises or place of employment of the
victim.

Volunteer
drivers needed
for cancer
patients
The Friends of Florence, a
free program that provides
transportation to individuals
who are undergoing radiation
treatment in Eugene and
Springfield, is in need of vol-
unteer drivers.
Drivers
are
needed
Monday through Fridays,
leaving PeaceHealth Peace
Harbor Medical Center at 8
a.m., and returning around
12:30 p.m.
Volunteers are usually
asked to drive only one day a
month. The only requirement
is that drivers are less than 80
years old with a clean driving
record.
Anyone interested in vol-
unteering for the important
community program can con-
