The event will begin Thursday, June 16, at 9 p.m., in the labyrinth behind St. Andrew’s, 2135 19th St. at the corner of Tamarack, one block east of Spruce. It will consist of silence, spoken meditations, prayers and music and will last about a half hour. It is suggested to arrive before 9 p.m. if you need to park. There is a parking lot at the church. This is an interfaith, ecu- menical spiritual event, not a political one. Organizers instead encour- age people who have opin- ions to express, in one direc- tion or another, to contact their legislators or to arrange public forums. “We strongly encourage people who wish to pray, meditate or express support for those who have died and for their loved ones to come Thursday evening,” DuBose said. Attendees are asked to bring a votive candle in a glass container or an elec- tronic vigil light. For more information, call The Rev. Georgia C.
