She is the daughter of Marcy and Tony Dodson and attends fourth period Forensics with Mr. .Lance Haberly. Katherine describes the atmosphere of the classroom as, “relaxed because it is a talking class.” Her favorite part of Forensics are the tournaments. Students travel to different schools and colleges to compete with other students. She explains, “I get to miss school and go with my friends, plus I get to meet other people. That forces me to talk to new people and to be loud!” Katherine is learning about “speech and presentation, how important that is.” She says, “you can just ask (Mr. Haberly) anything.” Aside from Forensics, Katherine is adamant about art and reading. Katherine intends to attend college but is unaware of the loca- tion at the moment. She plans on majoring in marine biology. She says, “The ocean is so unexplored, and we live right next to it. I would be able to stay in Oregon and work with the ocean.” Hopefully, after she finishes her education, Katherine will get her wish. and “The Party in the Parking Lot” will again take place in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. There will be live music and entertainment, as well as a barbecue hosted by the humane society.
