This year, there will be over 25 students whose work will be in the library’s hallway gallery at 1460 Ninth St. A special display of pottery coil vessels, based on Hawaiian Tiki gods, will be featured. The community is welcome to come and enjoy the artwork during library hours. Both shows will include a variety of mediums, including acrylic, colored pencil, scratchboard, pen- cil and stoneware. Several pieces based on an Aborigine artwork lesson will also be included in both shows. All are encouraged to take a moment to appreciate the talents of the Florence youth. —Submitted by Kim Pickell
