SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2015 Mapleton Kindergarten Round-Up April 21 Mapleton Elementary School will hold its annual Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, April 21, for all chil- dren in the Mapleton School District who will be age 5 by Sept. 1. Parents and their upcoming kindergarten students should plan to attend at 5:30 p.m. Students will have a chance to meet their fellow students and parents will receive helpful information about kinder- garten. 3 A ‘Let’s get healthier, Florence!’ Mayor declares April 17 to 19 as Florence Health Weekend Bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and their social secu- rity card to the Kindergarten Round-Up. Knowing how many kindergarten students to expect in the fall is extremely important. If you know of a student who will attend kindergarten in the fall and is unable to attend Kindergarten Round-Up, call Mapleton Elementary School at 541- 268-4471. Siuslaw kindergarten registration April 20-30 Kindergarten registration for Fall 2015 within the Siuslaw School District will be April 20 to 30, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day at Siuslaw Elementary School. Enrollees must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2015. Parents should bring proof of age and an immunization record.
