Pianist Glen Rose will be appearing in concert in the home of local piano teacher Kathy Parsons on Monday, March 30, beginning at 7 p.m. Rose has had a multifarious career in many aspects of music. Playing cocktail piano jobs has always been an enjoy- able backdrop between his other musical activities. Rose will be playing piano standards with his light touch, easy-listening jazz style and sharing some of his improvisa- tional techniques. Pianists in the audience are free to ask questions. One of Rose’s hob- bies is studying the songwriters who wrote the famous jazz standards, so attendees will hear something about that, too.
