A.F. TiOvejoy. near Oregon City, by tho Clackamas Packing Com pany lias Urn left at this otlice. 'An inspection of the fruit canned eher rit;s proves that in lvspect to richness and m-licacy of flavor, the sample is not inferior to any canned fruit put up ia the Fistf-rn States orCalifornia. Tliis c Hiipanv, we understand, lias I he need ed facilities lor cunning fruits of all kinds cherries, peaches, plums, pears, prunes, berries, vegetables, meats, etc. The company was organized and opera ctioiisconmienccd last year, but notwith standing the recent inauguration of the enterprise, they are prepared to supply the market for Oregon and the north west coast. Considerable quantities of the canned fruit have already been shipped to San Francisco, and produced a verv favorable impression in the market. The fruit is put up in tin cans, in splendid order, hermetically sealed, and will keep sweet and fresh foryears. The enterprise is certainly deserving of success. Thousands of dollars are sent ntiniitlly from the State for canned fruit and berries, which could he kept here and put in circulation. No State in the I'nion can produce better fruit, vegetal iles and berries than can Oregon. The process employed bv the Clacka mas Packing Company in preparing fruit, vegetables and meats, is not in ferior to that of Cutting A; Co., or any of the large canning establishments Kast. Such useful and important homo industries should be patronized and cncM ii raged. The company is prepared to till all orders at once. Haiut.iis kou ArorsT.
