Dutton next Wednesday, for the benefit of the Episcopal church. Tea will be served from 3 p. m. to 9 o'clock. The Star Brewery people have purchased the Brewery saloon in Heppner, formely owned by J. B. Natter on upper Main street. The transfer was made this week. The consideration was $5000. A carload of very fine water melons were shipped in from Irri gon this week. Tbey were pur. chased by Minor & Company and the Pastime and foubd ready sale, being of fine flavor and large in size. Morrow county is allright when it comes to growing almost anything. Jim Boss who is well known in Heppner, was seriously hurt one day last week while packing for Mills Bros, sheep camp near Dale. Mr. Ross was thrown from a wild horse, striking against a tree. For a time it was thought that he would not live, however, he is now improving. The first day of the district fair nt Pendleton will be dedicated to Morrow county.
