The telegram to the Item izer from the Oregons last night was signed by Dan Poling, the original crack center of th e team . I t is supposed he is tak ing an active interest in the games plav- ed in Ohio, and doing considerable rooting for his old classm ates when he can get the opportunity. The boys play a t ex-president M cKinley’s home town tonight, Cat t m, Ohio. The Woodmen had an interesting ses sion Tuesday night and several were initiated. The $5 prize, offered by the pditor of the Item izer to the oneseeur- ing the most applications during the cam paign, was won by L. N. Bilyeu, Several other prizes were distributed. Last Saturday evening the Oregons played a great gam e of basketball at Linesville, Pennsylvania, defeating the Linesville five by a score of 26 to 15. This was the first tim e th a t Linesville had ever been defeated on their home court, but they were sim ply outclassed by th e Dallas boys from sta rt to finish, and a t no tim e were the Oregons in danger of being defeated. Referee Teats is taking a few days vacation vis iting relatives in th a t state, and H . L. Fenton sends in the Item izer specials. The game of basket hall last Jiight between the Oregons and some team at Mansfield, Ohio, in which the score stood 48 to 20, was not sutficently close to arouse much enthusiasm here, and probably not where it was played. Our boys seem to have had a first class walk over. Only two games have been play ed since our last issue, both of which, the Oregons won. This makes 28 games played so far on their tour. One of these resulted in a tie, one thev won by forfeit, ami four they have been beaten. This is far beyond any record ever made by a touring team , and we cannot but be proud of our Dallas, O re gons. Savage Will Probated. The last will and testam ent of Orin Bafflaa M edicina. G.
