Everybody knows that it is a task for Dunham to talk much at any time. Tho election passed off" quietly. Votes for Union wero thick around here. Moral Do tho right thing and you will bo rewarded. It is reported that La Grande voted everything in tho shape of a human that could ho found. 10 ven the pass engers on tbo trains could haid'y es cape. Tho ktt-klux wero honest com pared to tho La (handers. Wo should not blame them however, for accord ing to the doctrine of tome creeds it was foreordained from tho foundation of tho world that La Grande should do just what it has dono and is doing. Tho mill company havo got their boiler and engine homo and in place. They will start to i awing in a day or two if the weather will permit. When they wore bringing their boiler around by way of Tolocasct, tboy lost a four inch monkey-wrench boniewhuro be tween Fra.ier's place and Lyon's hill. Anyone finding it and leaving it at Tim: Scout ollico will bo paid for their trouble. I will mako the boy take mo to tho sheep camp. S. It will bo hard for mo to take all that brandy and ginger I got for tbo mcasels, but I can if I havo to. I. I think my boy is tho best and prettiest there is. K. Tho sermon was good; but wo will havo to take exception to tho alter part, hccaiibo no true christian would make tho assertion, "unless you aro dipped under tho liquid wave you vill ho lost."
