A dis patch from llio (Jrando city, Texas, says a heavy force of Mexican revolu tionists crossed the river into Texas on Thursday night. A troop of the Kighlh Uniied States cavalry was ordered, yesterday, from Hinggold barracks ti pursue and disarm them. Altogether the situation of affairs is becoming rather serious and unless the matter is attended to promptly, and with no indecision by tho govern ment, doubtless Texas will take the matter in hand, herself, and we may look for razors in tho air. Tho sheriff has been instructed to collect all delinquent taxes without delay. As delinquent taxes have been accumulating for many vcars iast, it is high lime they were settled up, or wiped out in some man lier, The hoard does not luiilnte to niako liberal appropriations lor road and bridges when the same is deemed necessary, and this is right. The board ulo proposes to change the methods heretofore adopted in regard to taking care of the county poor and criminals coullited in the county jail. They will let a contract to some com petent person to feed, clothe and care for the paupers at so much for each person per week. A soperate contract will bo given to some physician to furnish medicine and medical treat ment to paupers and prisoners. No doubt this will ho an improvement over tho old methods.
