On Wednesday last, Bishop H.
C. Morrison, alter addressing the
Students at the College, went
with Rev. Reeves to visit John
Rickard and family living about
twelve miles south. The Bishop
who is interested in the new and
growing church at Portlam-, was
hunting subscriptions for the new
churcb. Mr. Rickard's well
known h. a:'tv to the churches
was the occasion of the visit. J

that back in Montgomery county
Tenn., Mrs. Rickard's brother
had married the Bishop's sister,
fifty years ?go. It is sufficient to
