He had morning and evening services at St Hel en and a liaptisni; Jennie and Cora M iles joined the Church, and were baptized near the shipyard. Itttv. Mr. Wolver ton's discourse Sunday evening was very interesting. He has won golden opin ions while laboring in this field, and has not been without his sheaves to return to the g:irner-house of God. He will soon remove from Portland to Corvallis, where he will preach, and be Principal of the Preparatory Department in the Agricultural College. He has been in deed a faithful laiiorer. The Circus under the management of J. S, McCue, an old stage-man editor, c. tc. gave St Helen a call last eve ring, and exhibited to a full audience. This is the first circus that has exhibited in Columbia County. Many of the feats equalled anything we ever saw. The feats of the trained horse, Americus were axicu!arly interesting. There were two other trained horses, Ale and Boston. The exhibition of Hercules was ahead of that of a similar character in any of the circuses we have visited. It exhibits tonight at Astoria.
