The Warm Spring Indians fought like heroes skulking upon the foe and ever ready to take and hold any advantage. They lost one killed- The Indians are certainly dishearten ed. Lieutenant Rice procured sufficient evidence to make it certain that young Taylor Was captured alive and subjected to most horrible torture. The Apaches and Mojaves with Lieutenant Rice delared that the Indians who committed tbe outrage were Finals. After sriking the trail of the McDonald party, Rico turned toward Prscott and arrived at Furt Wippla on Saturday last, having fol lowed the trail from Hnssayampa creek toward the Tonto Uasin across the Agua Frio, and returning to Fort Whipple by Humbug creek. An express arrived at Whipple on Sunday evening, from Captain O. M. Raulall's camp, stating that he had killed forty seven warriors and captured seven squaws. The news were received in Prescot about sundown and the rejoicing was general.
